Mango Salsa

Mango Salsa

Mangoes are one of the few fruits in season during the summer months in Florida, and tend to tolerate the heat well. Today, we’re going to explore an easy to make salsa with delicious Florida mangoes, which can be found every Saturday at the Venice Farmers Market by our vendors Dusty’s Produce and C+F Produce.

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced

  • 1/2 red onion, diced

  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped

  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the mangoes, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, salt, and pepper.

  2. Stir to combine.

  3. Serve immediately with your favorite chips or vegetables.

Tips:

  • For a spicier salsa, add a jalapeno pepper, seeded and diced.

  • If you don't have cilantro, you can use parsley or another herb of your choice.

  • For a smoother consistency, blend for 10-15 seconds.

  • Mango salsa can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
