Pork Ribeyes + Roasted Brussel Sprouts

Pork ribeye is a delicious and versatile cut of meat that can be cooked in many different ways. One of our favorite ways to cook pork ribeye is to pan-fry it with a simple seasoning rub. This recipe is quick and easy to make, and it is sure to become a family favorite. You can find most of these items right here at the Venice Farmers Market each Saturday, and they’re listed below.

  • Pork Ribeyes from The Butchers Gourmet

  • Brussel Sprouts from C+F Produce, Dusty’s Produce, or Fresh Harvest

  • Parmesan from Stamper Cheese

  • Olive Oil from Earths Complete

Ingredients:

  • 2 pork ribeye steaks (about 1 1/2 pounds total)

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions:

  1. Pat the pork ribeye steaks dry with paper towels.

  2. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

  3. Rub the seasoning mixture all over the pork ribeye steaks.

  4. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  5. Add the pork ribeye steaks to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

  6. Remove the pork ribeye steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

  2. In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with the olive oil, salt, and pepper.

  3. Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet.

  4. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until tender and slightly browned.

  5. Sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese and serve immediately.
